Parker Coalition Works Together to Plant the Town
In 2002, the Parker Chamber of Commerce, the Parker Economic Development Council and the Town of Parker formed The Parker Coalition – a group dedicated to unifying the image of Parker and promoting the Town’s spirit. In 2003, we kicked off our Plant the Town campaign to promote xeriscaping in our community, including a number of initiatives to help create a healthier and more water-efficient landscape. Each year, the Parker Coalition distributes free xeric seed packets at local businesses to encourage our residents to be water-wise with their landscaping.
2005 Plant the Town Campaign
In 2005, the Coalition will build upon success from previous years and educate the community on ways to conserve water, while celebrating the Coalition’s efforts. Please join us as we kick off this year’s campaign on Arbor Day, or attend a free xeriscaping class. When residents come together for the purpose of planting for our future, the investment is fun, rewarding, and long-term.
