A Letter From Our Mayor
The Town of Parker is the ideal community to live, work, shop, and play.
Live: Starting in 1981 with only 285 residents, the Town of Parker has grown to 41,000 in 2005. Everywhere you go, beautiful homes surround the business hub of the community. New-exceptional designs provide a wide variety of choice for housing in the community. Many young families find Parker the ideal place to live and raise a family.
Work: Along with Parker Adventist Hospital, Mountain Man and OraLabs, a manufacturer of health care products, there are a variety of major retail outlets, diversified small-businesses and in-home businesses; Parker is a unique blend of employment possibilities.
Shop: As mentioned, the unique blend of businesses in and around the Parker community offers its residents the opportunity to shop for most of their goods and services within a ten-minute drive from home. Many amenities, which at one time required a long drive, are now offered just a short distance from home.
Play: Trails, open space, parks, an award-winning recreation facility, as well as cultural events offer the Parker community the healthiest and happiest options to play in and around Parker. In addition, new public events (Business Expo, Race for the Taste, Let Freedom Sing) compliment the historical Parker Country Festival, the Christmas Carriage Parade, and Concerts in the Park.
As we continue to grow, the challenges facing the Town of Parker are being met head on by our citizens involved in the process. Citizen workshops and task forces tackle the issues of transportation, housing, employment, recreation, and land use.
Yes, the Town of Parker is a most ideal place. The Town Council is business friendly, and the Town staff compliments this attitude by providing expeditious service to those wishing to bring and build businesses in Parker. Our household income continues to remain among the strongest in the state. Our school district, one of the best in the country, continues to provide a strong-educational drive to excellence.
I personally invite you to learn more about the Town of Parker and the business opportunities offered here by coming to see and hear about Parkers “Proof of Success”!
