Diane Arthur joined the Town of Parker as Assistant Town Manager in 2022. As the Assistant Town Manager, Arthur will work in partnership with the Town Manager to provide key leadership, strategic direction and oversight. She will serve as a liaison and partner on town-wide issues and oversee assigned projects, policy matters and town-wide outreach, including Communications, events and employee/citizen engagement.
Arthur arrived in Parker following 16 years with the City of Surprise, Ariz., that saw her serve in roles that included Public Information Officer and Marketing and Communications Director prior to being named Deputy City Manager in 2018. In the latter position, she oversaw a variety of areas, including Parks and Recreation, Sports and Tourism, Human Service and Community Vitality, and City Manager Office Staff.
Before joining the City of Surprise team, Arthur had a nearly 15-year career in broadcast journalism, beginning in the state of Kansas and later in the Phoenix, Ariz. market. In Phoenix, she served as the broadcast business reporter for the Phoenix Business Journal, providing business updates on KTAR radio and ABC 15 television.
Arthur is a member of the International City/County Management Association and City-County Communications & Marketing Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kansas State University.
