2018 Regular Election

The regular election for the Town Council will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.  The Town will hold the regular election in connection with the Douglas County coordinated election. The Town Council election will be held to elect three (3) Councilmembers to four-year terms. 
 

Pre-Candidate Meeting and Information


The Town will hold a pre-candidate meeting at Parker Town Hall, located at 20120 East Mainstreet, Parker, Colorado, on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at 6 p.m. This meeting will include current Councilmembers and key staff, who will generally discuss the position of Councilmember, the process to become a candidate for Town Council, how to obtain information related to council agendas, reports and calendars, and address questions related to the position of Councilmember.

The pre-candidate meeting is being held to prepare candidates for the first day that nomination petitions can be circulated for the position Councilmember, which is Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018. You will be given a copy of the nomination petition and related instructions for Councilmember at the pre-candidate meeting.  

If you circulate a nomination petition and obtain the required number of qualified signatures (as verified by the Town Clerk) and file the acceptance of nomination for Councilmember with the Town Clerk on or before Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, your name will be placed on the Nov. 6, 2018 ballot for the position of Councilmember.

Candidate Orientation Meeting


The Town will hold a candidate orientation meeting at Parker Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at 6 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to determine the order in which candidate names will be placed on the ballot and to provide you with information related to election signscampaign contributions, the Fair Campaign Practices Act, Code of Ethics, and Disclosure Statements, as well as many important dates and deadlines.
